Dee Chilton


Following a successful career in the Navy, where she rose from the lowest rank to Commissioned Officer, Dee is now a screenwriter and military advisor to film & television.  She brings her experiences to her written work with a focus on writing about women faced with tough choices, especially in thriller, action and militaristic stories. Dee is currently further developing her psychological and crime thrillers, and is soon to complete her new teen action thriller.

Feature film (in development):
Darken Ship (optioned) A self-doubting Naval Engineering Officer must battle for her sanity and her life, when she is trapped aboard a damaged, empty warship where she killed four members of her crew in order to save the rest of the ship during a catastrophic fire.

Last Orders A guilt-ridden former Army Officer, held responsible for the death of her whole squad, reluctantly takes command of another team and uses her survival skills to try and save them, after discovering they’ve all been targeted as prey for an elite team of ex-military cannibals running a faux escape and evasion competition.
Non-Binary Code Having witnessed an assassination, a teenage girl is falsely accused of being a terrorist and must outrun the police and fight to clear her name before she becomes the killer’s next victim.
Television (in development):
Undercurrent A career-driven Navy Police Special Investigator is assigned to lead a new team and handed a ‘poisoned chalice’ case. With all eyes on her, she’s under pressure to close the case simply and quickly, but are things as simple as everyone wants them to be…
