Diarmuid Goggins

Diarmuid is an Irish IFTA-nominated director for film and television drama: he is currently directing a two-parter episode of the forthcoming series of BBC1 forensic crime-drama Silent Witness. He also directs regularly for BBC1 medical-drama Casualty, episodes for the Dublin-set police drama Red Rock, as well as for Channel 4’s Hollyoaks. Previously, Diarmuid directed for the hit BBC Irish teen-drama series 6 Degrees and also episodes for CBBC comedy-dramas Dani’s Castle and Millie Inbetween.

Diarmuid was selected for the TG4 half-hour drama season for two-years running (similar to the Channel 4 Coming Up scheme), directing two 30’ short drama films.  Diarmuid had a passion for directing from an early age and picked up his first drama award, at the British Amateur Video Awards, aged just 13. His National Film School short, Nell, premiered successfully at The Galway Film Fleadh. He went on to direct an impressive range of award-winning documentaries and before moving across to directing for television series drama.
