Philip is a writer for television drama, children’s and digital. He is currently a writer on the Scottish continuing-drama River City, as well as working on the story team for BBC1’s Eastenders. Previously, Pip has held a number of positions on the story team on a number of continuing-drama series, including Casualty and Holby City for BBC1, Hollyoaks for Channel 4, and Fair City for RTE, where he also scripted a number of episodes as part of the writing-team.

For children’s television, Philip’s writing credits include story-lining and writing 10 episodes of BBC Alba animation Froachy Bay, and also his original children’s animation series The House of Shoogle which he developed for BBC Scotland. Philip’s background started in animation, studying the BA course at Edge Hill University, before being selected by Shed Productions to complete a Masters in Television Fiction Writing at Glasgow Caledonian University, where Philip was mentored by BAFTA-winning writer Donna Franceschild. Philip is now developing several new original television drama series.
