Tom Melia

Tom is a writer, director and producer for television comedy, drama and factual.  Tom’s original TV comedy Fail is currently available on BBC3, having been produced by The Comedy Unit, and is based on Tom’s own original web-comedy series The Art of Awkward Conversation which he wrote, produced and directed. He also has original comedy series in development with Kindle Entertainment and BBC Studios, and is working on a number of new projects with his sister Charlotte Melia. Tom also writes regular episodes as a member of the core-writing team for Channel 4’s Hollyoaks  and was also part of the writers room on the second series of new children’s drama Free Rein for Netflix.

Tom has extensive experience as a producer/director and working with production teams worldwide, working across a variety of genres. Tom also started Notebook Films, which regularly collaborates with exciting new creative talent to create multi-disciplinary content:
