Anona is an award-winning writer for television drama. She created and wrote the S4C children’s drama series Y Goleudy, which has been nominated for the children’s category of the upcoming BAFTA Cymru Awards, the series having recently won an RTS Cymru Wales Award. In addition, she developed the children’s drama Itopia for Boom Plant (a prequel to Boom Kid’s CITV game show Project Z) and wrote the two series produced so far. She has also written episodes for the children’s historical drama Amser Maith Yn Ôl and stories for radio and television.
Anona gained an MA in Creative Writing from the University of Portsmouth and now lives in Cardiff, having grown up in the picturesque seaside village of St Dogmaels in West Wales – a place steeped in mythology and a strong sense of community, which has always been a source of inspiration for her writing. She writes in English and Welsh for all ages, but is particularly passionate about writing for children and young adults.
