Candida is an award winning director for British television drama and film, with credits on Casualty, Hollyoaks and EastEnders. This year one of her Casualty episodes formed part of the three-episode submission to the RTS Programme Awards for Soap and Continuing Drama which the series went on to win. She has directed award winning short films including Mercy, which screened at multiple film festivals and won several awards
Candida received multi-camera training through Directors UK and ITV’s long running series Coronation Street, and the BBC’s New Director’s Scheme for EastEnders. With experience in directing both single and multi-camera drama, she has now directed over a dozen episodes of continuing drama. Prior to this, she undertook shadowing opportunities on Sky’s Britannia II (under director Luke Watson) and in post-production on Robin Hood (under director Otto Bathurst). In addition to this, she has directed commercials, channel idents and titles as well as on air material for Channel 4 (E4, FILM4 and More 4), The Discovery Channel and MTV.
