Chris is a Manchester-based writer for British television drama. He is currently part of the writing team for BBC1’s Waterloo Road, having previously written for prime-time Liverpool-set drama series The Window (created by James Payne) for ZDF and Fuji TV, having been commissioned to write 2 x 60 minute episodes. Chris also writes regular episodes for ITV’s Emmerdale as part of the core-writing team.
Previously, Chris was the most commissioned writer of Channel 4’s Hollyoaks in its 20-year history and was one of five core members of the current main story conference group. Chris wrote over 125 episodes of Hollyoaks over an 8-year period as well as six episodes of the hour-long late night series Hollyoaks Later. Chris started his writing career on Channel 5’s Family Affairs and has also worked on the special Hollyoaks: Back from the Dead. Chris’s original drama series The Hive has also been commissioned to script and series bible for ITV2, in development with Lime Pictures.
