Darren Fairhurst and Steve Hughes are television drama writers, creators and producers with over 80 hours broadcast credits between them for ITV, Channel 4 and Channel 5. Together, they created – along with Paul Marquess – the drama series ‘Crime Stories’ for ITV daytime, which ran for 20 episodes; and also the flagship 60’ police-drama series ‘Suspects’ starring Fay Ripley, which ran for five seasons on Channel 5. They both now currently write for ‘Hollyoaks’ and separately, Darren has written for shows such as ‘Shameless,’ ‘The Royal Today,’ and Steve for shows such as ‘The Bill,’ and ‘Emmerdale.’ Both have also worked extensively in the story department at ‘Coronation Street’ and Steve on the producing team on ‘Hollyoaks.’ Darren and Steve now currently have a number of co-written original drama series projects in active development.
