Gareth is an experienced writer and script-editor for British TV drama, comedy and continuing-drama series. He is currently part of the core writing team on Channel 4’s Hollyoaks, and has written over 100 episodes for the series. Gareth is also developing original TV drama and comedy projects, including his original studio-comedy Open Wide with Lucky Giant/NBC.
Gareth started his TV career researching for Channel 5’s Family Affairs, before moving on to becoming story-editor for BBC1’s Eastenders, during a BAFTA-winning period for the soap. Gareth then went on to become script-editor for Channel 4’s Hollyoaks, and then senior script-editor for ITV1’s Coronation Street. Gareth then moved back to Hollyoaks when he was offered the role of script-producer under Executive Producer Bryan Kirkwood. Gareth decided to hang up his producer cap in 2013 in order to pursue his own writing ambitions.
