Hannah Palmer-Prior is a screenwriter for adult and children’s drama with a background in television drama development and documentary. Her original drama Wilder is currently in development with Raydar Studios. Before turning her hand to screenwriting, Hannah previously worked as a Development Editor and Co-Producer at Slim Film + TV, working on shows such as Around The World In 80 Days and CBBC’s Mystic. She originally studied Zoology at the University of St Andrews which led her work on three series of the natural history documentary series David Attenborough’s Natural Curiosities where she had the amazing opportunity to write and direct an episode on the third series.
In her original work Hannah often confronts current social issues, but always with a sense of hopefulness, leaning towards stories of underdogs, themes of justice and showcasing nature and the environment. Her documentary experience makes her adept at research, particularly when delving into projects inspired or influenced by true events. Having travelled to over 50 countries and counting, Hannah embraces hearing and telling stories from around the world, carefully balancing both local nuance and intrigue, with universal appeal.
