Luke is a British/Indian dual-heritage screenwriter for TV drama who is currently writing for Rope Ladder Fiction/BBC1 prime-time drama Waterloo Road. Luke has written over 30 episodes for Channel 4’s Hollyoaks, having been part of the regular writing team. In 2018, Luke won the Northumbria University/Channel 4 Writing for Television Award and has since gone on to develop original projects of his own; his YA boyband drama Rainbow Ceiling is currently in formal development with Rollem Production and his queer-love-story/sports drama Girls Can’t Punch is currently available.
Luke draws heavily from his dual-heritage roots when writing and is keen to showcase underrepresented characters on screen in his works. Luke has experience working in writers rooms as well as a Master’s in Screenwriting from the University of Manchester and a Bachelor’s degree in Media, Writing and Production from the University of Bolton.
