Oliver Milburn is a director, writer and BAFTA nominated VFX supervisor for feature film and television. He wrote and directed the feature film School’s Out Forever, a comedy sci-fi horror about a teenage boy surviving the aftermath of a deadly pandemic at a British all boy’s school. The Guardian gave the film 4 stars, praising Oliver’s writing and directing stating that he has “a real knack for staging action and coaxing sincere, punchy performances from his mostly young cast” (full review here).
Oliver graduated from Bournemouth University and his graduation film, The Harsh Light of Day, was released globally. He has also directed several music videos and award-winning shorts, such as the offbeat comedy-drama Dunroamin – a story about a seemingly normal a house viewing that turns increasingly mysterious. Bringing wit and style to every story he tells, Oliver combines an emotive understanding of character and narrative with a vast technical skill set.
In addition to writing and directing, Oliver is also a BAFTA-nominated VFX supervisor, including work on 3 seasons of Fox/Canal Plus’s War of The Worlds and also Urban Myth Films/Sky’s The Lazarus Project, which also included second-unit directing.
